At Meikappi, we take great care in sourcing and packaging our indigenous dried food products. To maintain the highest standards of food safety and to protect our community of local producers, we have established the following policy regarding refunds and cancellations.

1. Cancellation Policy

·         Standard Cancellation: You may cancel your order within 6 hours of placement or before the order status changes to "Dispatched," whichever is earlier.

·         Post-Dispatch: Once an order has been handed over to our logistics partner, we cannot accept cancellations.

2. Mandatory Unboxing Video for Claims

·         To protect both the customer and our local producers against fraudulent claims, Meikappi requires a mandatory unboxing video for any refund or replacement request.

·         The Process: You must record a continuous, unedited video while opening the package for the first time.

·         Requirements: 1. The shipping label with the Tracking ID and Meikappi branding must be clearly visible. 2. The video must show the package being opened from all sides to prove it was not tampered with. 3. Any damage, leakage, or incorrect items must be clearly shown in the video.

·         Note: Without a valid unboxing video, Meikappi Products Pvt Ltd reserves the right to reject any claim for damages or missing items.

3. Eligible Grounds for Refund or Replacement

Since food products are non-returnable for hygiene reasons, we only offer resolutions for:

·         Transit Damage: Physical damage to the product packaging that compromises the food's safety.

·         Incorrect Items: If the product delivered does not match your order invoice.

·         Expired Products: In the unlikely event that a product is delivered past its "Best Before" date.

4. How to Raise a Claim

If you encounter an issue, please contact us within 24–48 hours of delivery:

·         Attachment: Attach the Unboxing Video and photos of the invoice.

5. Note to Our Valued Customers

Nature of Indigenous Products: > Our products are locally sourced and prepared using traditional Manipuri drying and smoking methods. Because these are handcrafted and natural products:

·         Minor variations in color, size, and texture are normal and are signs of authenticity, not defects.

·         The aroma of smoked or fermented products can be very strong and distinct; this is a characteristic of indigenous Manipuri cuisine and not a quality issue.

·         Please ensure you store the products in a cool, dry, and airtight container immediately after opening to prevent moisture absorption.

6. Refund Processing

Once your unboxing video and claim are verified, we will initiate a refund to your original payment method. This typically reflects in your bank account within 5 to 7 business days.
